After the Kent State softball team prevailed 11-1 in the first game of Saturday’s doubleheader, senior Ronnie Ladines tossed a five-inning perfect game to capture the second game 10-0 at Mid-American Conference foe Buffalo.
Ladines had a spectacular afternoon all-around. She threw just the third perfect game in school history and added two home runs. She scored five times and drove in four runs. She struck out four in the circle.
The Golden Flashes (24-24, 12-9) have now won a season-high six consecutive games and evened their record at .500 for the first time since Feb. 26.
