The Kent State women’s basketball team defeated Northern Illinois 95-85 Wednesday night behind a game-high 37 points by guard Larissa Lurken.
Lurken shot 11-of-14 from the field, while connecting on 7-of-8 from beyond the 3-point arc. Lurken also grabbed 11 rebounds.
The Golden Flashes (4-14, 1-7) shot nearly 53 percent from the field, including 50 percent on 3-pointers. The Huskies (8-11, 1-7) managed just 29 percent on 3-point attempts.
Jordan Korinek also chipped in 22 points and six rebounds for the Flashes.
The Huskies’ Ally Lehman and Mikayla Voigt scored 22 and 19 points, respectively.
