Gabrielle Figueroa won the women’s hammer throw title Friday to lead the Kent State track and field team at the Northeast Ohio Quad at the University of Akron.
Figueroa won with a toss of 194-10 in the only event of the meet on Friday’s schedule.
John Zolton (Tallmadge) unleashed a career-best toss of 158-8 to finish eighth in the men’s hammer to lead UA. Olivia Snyder led the Zips women with a toss of 141-3 to finish seventh.
