Kent State redshirt junior point guard Kellon Thomas has requested and was granted his release and plans to transfer for his final season of eligibility upon graduating this summer.
“I have enjoyed these last four years at Kent State University, but have decided to transfer to a school closer to home for my final season due to a family issue,” Thomas said in a news release.
Thomas will graduate and have immediate eligibility to play at another NCAA Division I school next season.
“Kellon is a terrific young man and was finally able to display his basketball abilities on game night this past season,” KSU coach Rob Senderoff said.
