On the record: KSU golfers finish 12th at NCAA Regional

The Kent State University men’s golf team shot a 5-over 293 Wednesday, falling to 12th place in the final round with a 17-over total of 881 in an NCAA Regional in Kohler, Wis.

Sophomore Ian Holt (Stow) led the way with a 3-under 69 in his final found and a 3-under 213 for the tournament.

Holt finished tied for fifth place, notching four birdies on Wednesday. The Golden Flashes improve their round two performance by 7 strokes.

Junior Josh Whalen had a solid round three with an even par 72 and finished tied for 38th overall at 220.
