Saturday’s regular season finale for the Kent State baseball team at Schoonover Stadium was canceled due to inclement weather. The Golden Flashes will enter the Mid-American Conference Tournament at 41-12 and will face either Eastern Michigan or Central Michigan in the first round on Wednesday. The tournament will be held at All-Pro Freight Stadium in Avon.
The 41 regular season victories, is the third most in the history of the program and the most since the 1986 season.
Division III baseball
The College of Wooster’s run in the NCAA Division III Baseball Tournament ended Saturday. The Scots lost their second game of the Mideast Regional, falling 13-0 to LaRoche (39-10).
