After winning all six sets in Friday’s action at the Comfort Inn-vitational in Morehead, Ky., Kent State had to come from behind to earn its first five-set women’s volleyball victory of the season on Saturday. The Golden Flashes (7-6) defeated Coppin State 3-2 (25-18, 18-25, 23-25, 25-13, 15-10), to complete an undefeated weekend.
Darby Connors and Lexi Mantas each had a career-best kills, with 18 and 13 respectively, against the Eagles (0-14). Sam Jones had her career-high 15 digs against Coppin State.
