The Kent State softball team’s season came to an end Saturday when the Golden Flashes lost to James Madison 4-0 in an elimination game at the NCAA regional tournament in Waco, Texas.
The Flashes, who finished 33-28, defeated Oregon State 2-1 in another elimination game earlier Saturday.
Junior Emily Dobbin and sophomore Hunter Brancifort both had RBI singles in the fifth inning against the Beavers. Senior Ronnie Ladines also pitched a complete-game and struck out six.
Ladines started in the circle for the second game against James Madison, but pitched just two innings. She allowed one run and struck out three.
