The Kent State men’s golf team finished in sixth place with a team score of 14-over-par 878 at the 31st Annual Louisiana Classics at the Oakbourne Country Club in Lafayette.
Sophomore Chase Johnson (Walsh Jesuit) shot a 1-under par in the three-day tournament to finish in ninth place to lead the Golden Flashes individually.
Ian Holt (Stow) placed 32nd, Josh Whalen tied for 39th, Gisli Sveinbergsson tied for 44th and Tyler McHugh finished tied for 55th.
Freshman Bjarki Petursson competed as an individual and finished in 19th place.
The Flashes travel to Myrtle Beach on Mar.
