On the record: Kent State men’s golf team falls to eighth on second day at NCAA Kohler regional

The Kent State University men’s golf team shot a 12-over 300 on Thursday, a day after shooting an even-par 288, to fall four places to eighth on the second day of the NCAA Kohler regional in Kohler, Wis.

Ian Holt (Stow) carded a 1-over 73 to move into a tie for 10th place to lead the Golden Flashes. Chase Johnson (Walsh Jesuit) finished the first round tied for fifth but fell to 28th place after a 4-over round on Tuesday.

The lowest five teams and lowest individual not on a qualifying team advance to the NCAA finals in Eugene, Oregon May 27-June 1.
