Kent State remained in second place after the second round of the NCAA Division I women’s golf championship Sunday at Rich Harvest Farms in Sugar Grove, Ill.
The Golden Flashes, who carded a first-round 303, followed that with a 304 Sunday for an overall score of 607. Northwestern leads at 599, Stanford is third at 609 and Ohio State fourth at 610.
Sophomore Michaela Finn shot an even-par 72 Sunday for a two-day total of 147 and is fifth among individuals. Wake Forest’s Jennifer Kupcho is the tournament leader at 144.
Kent State freshman Karoline Stormo is tied for 14th at 151, senior Wad Phaewchimplee is tied for 32nd at 154 and freshman Pimnipa Panthong is tied for 40th at 155.
