Kent State University named Brianne Tierney as the first head coach for its inaugural women’s lacrosse team. The Golden Flashes plan for the program to begin competition during the 2018-19 academic year. It is the first sport Kent State has added since it began a women’s golf team in 1998-99.
Tierney joins Kent State from Lebanon Valley College, where she started the women’s locrosse program in 2010.
She’s previously coached at Laffayette, Denver, UC-Berkley and Monmouth.
