At the Mid-American Conference women’s golf championship, Kent State moved up two spots and is in first place heading into Sunday’s final round at the Purgatory Golf Club in Noblesville, Ind.
The University of Akron women moved up one spot to fifth place behind freshman Danielle Nicholson’s 1-under 71. As a team, the Zips fired a second-round 302 (+14). Nicholson is in first alone with a two-round total of 140 (4 under par).
Wad Phaewchimplee leads Kent State with her fourth-place total of 143 (+1).
