Kent State outscored Robert Morris 19-8 in the fourth quarter to force overtime but lost to the visiting Colonials 68-65 Saturday.
The Golden Flashes (2-1) were down five points with 27 seconds left in regulation. But fouls by the Colonials (3-1) allowed Larissa Lurken and Naddiyah Cross to score from the free-throw line to tie the score at 60-60 and force an extra period. It was the only tie in a game Robert Morris never trailed.
Lurken led all scorers with 32 and had a team-high 12 rebounds. Cross added 13 points.
