Kent State missed 3-pointer at the buzzer and lost 67-64 to visiting Toledo Saturday in Mid-American Conference women’s basketball.
The Golden Flashes (4-17, 1-10) were hurt by their inability to convert from beyond the 3-point arc against the focused defense of the Rockets (12-9, 7-3). Kent State converted a dismal six percent (1-for-17) of its 3-point attempts.
Jordan Korinek led the Flashes with 23 points.

Clayton Murphy broke Zips career and facility record with a 3:57.11 mile. Alex McCune finished first in the heptathlon (5,681 points), Curtis Richardson won the high jump (6-11¾) and Terrell McClain placed first in long jump (24-8¼).
