A disastrous start doomed the Kent State baseball team, as it fell 10-7 at College of Charleston on Saturday.
Starting pitcher Zach Willeman surrendered six hits, issued five walks and gave up nine runs in just 2u2154 innings. The loss evens his record at 2-2.
The Flashes’ (8-5) offense still had a good day, collecting 12 hits. Luke Burch led at the plate, going 4-for-5 with two doubles, a home run and a stolen base. He scored twice and drove in one.
