The Canton Charge (24-13) beat the Delaware 87ers (17-21) 125-120 at the Canton Memorial Civic Center Sunday afternoon. The win extends Canton’s franchise-record winning streak to 12 games, as they won all 10 games played in the month of February. The Charge’s 125 points set a new season-high for a game.
Nick Minnerath and Quinn Cook each scored 29 points for the Charge.
Akron softball
On the final day of the Alabama State Tournament, the University of Akron (6-9) softball team beat Howard 9-0 in five innings. The Zips went 4-1 at the 3-day tourney in Montgomery, Ala.
