LEXINGTON, Ky. – Kent State (8-9) fell to host No. 20 Kentucky, 2-0, Saturday afternoon at the John Cropp Classic.

Senior Ronnie Ladines (3-5) limited the Wildcats to just four hits in the circle, while striking out two. Ladines also collected the Golden Flashes' only hit in the game.

Kentucky scored both of its runs in a three-hit bottom of the fourth. The Wildcats got a leadoff single and added a pair of doubles that scored runs later in the frame.

Kent State had its best chance to score in the fifth inning when sophomore Hunter Brancifort and freshman Kristyn Eckl were both hit by a pitch.
