AURORA, Ohio – The No. 18 Kent State men's golf team wrapped up a record-setting performance Tuesday, winning the Cleveland State Invitational at the Barrington Golf Club with a score of 46-under par 818 (270-271-277).
The Golden Flashes' score beats the previous 54-hole tournament record, set at the Irish Creek Invitational in spring 2012, by seven strokes. Kent State won the tournament by 44 strokes, with only two other teams finishing under par. The team has now shot under 830 in back-to-back tournaments after previously finishing under that mark once in program history.
