KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The No. 16 Kent State University women's golf team is in a tight battle for the title after two rounds at the 20th Mercedes-Benz Collegiate Championship, hosted by Tennessee, at the Cherokee Country Club in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Kent State will enter Tuesday's final round with a one-over par score 569 (286-283). That score puts the defending champions in second place overall, six strokes back from Illinois and a stroke ahead of No. 7 Florida.
The day was highlighted by a spectacular collegiate debut from freshman Pimnipa Panthong.
