No. 16 Women’s Golf Falls to Kentucky in Match-Play Playoff

LEXINGTON, Ky.- The No.16 women's golf team fell to Kentucky (3-2) in a one-day match-play playoff on Thursday at the par 72, 6,069 yard Big Blue Course.

Under windy and rainy conditions, the day started off with sophomore Marissa Kirkwood (Newcastle, Pa.) competing as an individual against Kentucky's Claire Carlin. Kirkwood won her match 1 up on the first playoff hole.

In the first match, junior Michaela Finn (Ängelholm, Sweden) who paired against Sarah Shipley fell 3 and 2.

Sophomore Karoline Stormo (Tvedestrand, Norway) won her pairing 3 and 2 against Kentucky's Ale Walker.
