Kent State junior Joey Murray has been named the Mid-American Conference Pitcher of the Week, the league office announced today, March 19.
Murray took a no-decision on a spectacular performance Saturday in Cullowhee when he tossed six shutout innings against Western Carolina. The junior righty fanned 10 and walked only two while allowing just three hits. The Golden Flashes rallied to win in extra innings, 6-4.
