JONESBOROUGH, Tenn. – No. 17 Kent State University men's golf team will enter the final round of the Bank of Tennessee at Blackthorn in a tie for third place after a strong performance in round two Saturday.
The Golden Flashes improved by seven strokes Saturday, carding a 12-under par score of 276. Overall, Kent State is tied with Louisville at 17-under par in third place, one stroke behind No. 7 Missouri in second place. Penn State leads the field at 27-under par.
Leading the Flashes for the second straight day was senior Chase Johnson, who is in a tie for seventh place overall.
