Men's Golf in ninth place after opening two rounds at Royal Oaks Intercollegiate

DALLAS – Rounds of 283 and 284 during Monday's first day of the Royal Oaks Intercollegiate put Kent State in ninth place at 1-under par heading into the final round at the 7,068-yard, par-71 Royal Oaks Country Club.

Tournament host Baylor pulled out to a commanding lead at 22-under-par, nine clear of second-place Arkansas. At No. 8 in the nation, Baylor is the top-ranked team in the event, followed by Kent State at 14 and Arkansas at 17.

Liberty (8-under), Minnesota (7-under), New Mexico (7-under), Pepperdine (3-under), UTSA (3-under), and Michigan (3-under) also finished the first two rounds in red numbers.
