LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Kent State men's cross country team had a strong showing Saturday morning at the Live in Lou Classic, placing eighth in the strong field of 31 schools.
Led by top-30 finishes from sophomore Baidy Ba and junior Joe Farley, the Golden Flashes beat host Louisville, Auburn, Clemson and Georgia out of Power 5 conferences. Ba was the top finisher among Mid-American Conference runners in the Men's 8K Gold race, placing 10th in a time of 23:41.0. Farley ran a time of 24:05.1 to finish 27th.
