Marshall Keeps Flashes Out of the End Zone

HUNTINGTON, W.Va.- Kent State kept itself within striking distance of Marshall through three-and-a-half quarters, but the Thundering Herd pulled away late for a 21-0 home victory Saturday at Joan Edwards Stadium.

"We knew it was going to be tough to come in here and pull out a win, but our guys fought hard and I think there's going to be a lot of positives on film," Head Coach Paul Haynes said. "We've got to keep our heads up and keep moving forward."

The Golden Flashes' offense made three trips inside Marshall's 25, but could not find the end zone.
