KENT, Ohio – Two homeruns proved to be the difference makers Wednesday night as Kent State (23-10) completed its nine-game home stand with a 5-2 victory over Youngstown State (6-19).
After the Penguins went up 2-0 in the 1st, the Golden Flashes answered with a run in the 4th when Zarley Zalewski doubled and came home on a base hit by Dom Iero. In the 6th, Dylan Rosa smacked a no-doubter over the wall in left field to tie the game at two.
A three-run third inning by Kent State gave the home team the lead for good.
