Leitner’s Grand Slam Leads Golden Flashes in Doubleheader Split to Close Home Schedule

KENT, Ohio – Redshirt sophomore Kendal Leitner drove in six runs during on Wednesday as Kent State split a doubleheader with Toledo to conclude the home schedule at Devine Diamond on Wednesday. The Golden Flashes lost the opening game by a score of 11-4 and then won the second game, 11-5.

Leitner continued to swing a hot bat and totaled four hits, including a grand slam, in the twinbill. Sophomore Aaralyn Nogay went 4-for-4 in the opener. Senior Delaney Robeson launched her 19th career long ball to move into a tie for 10th on Kent State's career home runs list.
