The Mid-American Conference announced Monday that Kent State's Eric Lauer has earned East Division Pitcher of the Week honors.
Lauer two-hit Toledo in his second career complete game while striking out ten and not allowing a free base, helping Kent State take a series opening 3-0 win against Toledo. The two hits given up, one in the 2nd and one in the 5th, were the only base runners the Rockets would have in the game. Lauer needed just 106 pitches in the effort and threw 75 of those for strikes. His season ERA is now a minuscule 0.
