Late Goal Ends Kent State’s Comeback Hope

BUFFALO, N.Y. – In a back-and-forth affair under the lights at UB Stadium, Kent State (4-6-2, 2-2-1 MAC) came up just short against Buffalo (5-6-1, 2-3-0 MAC), 3-2, on Thursday night. The Bulls netted the game-winner in the 85th minute, just 37 seconds after KSU scored the then-equalizer. Junior Cameron Shedenhelm highlighted the Golden Flashes offensive effort, scoring both goals in the second period.

Buffalo wasted no time and got on the scoreboard just two minutes into the contest on a Marcy Barberic goal. The Bulls took a one-goal lead into the intermission, and the second stanza began with both teams unable to score.
