KENT, OHIO- Kent State right hander Ryan Lane has been named the Mid-American Conference's Co-Pitcher of the Week for his efforts against Florida Gulf Coast.
Lane was absolutely dominant against the Eagles on Sunday in Fort Myers, Florida. The New London, Ohio native threw eight-and-a-third shutout innings, scattering three hits and striking out 10 against zero walks in a 4-0 victory. After a first inning double, Lane retired the next 16 Eagles before surrendering a hit in the sixth. The innings and strike outs are a career high for Lane, who improved to 2-0 on the season with a 2.
