KENT, Ohio – Kent State (41-12) took down Western Carolina (25-28) by a score of 3-1 Friday night to take the series victory.

Andy Ravel continued his stretch of fine starts, throwing 6.1 innings with just three hits, no walks and two strikeouts to lead the way.

It was a scoreless game until the Flashes broke through in the 5th. Tim DalPorto singled and scored when Reilly Hawkins tripled down the right field line. It became a 3-0 lead in the 6th when Mason Mamarella earned an infield single and Zarley Zalewski tripled him home.
