OTTAWA, Ontario — Kent State rising sophomore Isaiah Ibit made an impressive professional debut this weekend at the Commissionaires Ottawa Open, not only making the cut in his first-ever pro tournament, but doing so on a course he's called home for years.
Ibit, an Ottawa native, finished T-58 at 12-under par, posting a consistent 3-under par in all four rounds.
"Going into this tournament, making the cut was pretty much my main goal," Ibit said. "I really wanted to play the weekend and as much golf as possible. Making it was awesome—especially at a course I've played a couple times every summer.
