Kent State University is pleased to announce Randale L. Richmond as our next director of athletics. Richmond was selected following a national search and returns to a familiar setting.
"Randale Richmond embodies our Kent State commitment to graduating student-athletes and to winning championships, in that order," said Todd Diacon, Kent State president. "His enthusiasm for Kent State and for student-athlete success is infectious, and we welcome Randale and his family back into our Kent State community."
Richmond previously served in various roles with Kent State's Department of Intercollegiate Athletics from 2004 until 2015, then stepped into his current position as senior associate director of athletics at Old Dominion University.
