KENT, Ohio - The Kent State men's basketball team extended their record this afternoon with a 88-59 victory against Chicago State. This will be the first time the team has been 5-0 since 2019-20 when the team went 20-12 overall.
Following the team's 5-0 record, Malique Jacobs recorded a single-game steal record with 10. Jacobs' 10 steals surpassed Chris Singletary's record in 2008 with 8 steals.
The Flashes started the game with high energy and eagerness to put them on the board immediately. The Flashes held the Cougars scoreless in the first minutes of the game 15-0.
