CLEVELAND – Kent State student-athletes Gabby Bailey and Liam Vinskovich were recognized for their outstanding performances this past weekend at the Jim Green Invitational at the University of Kentucky with Mid-American Conference Field Athlete of the Week honors, the league office announced on Wednesday.
Bailey placed second in the women's discus with a throw of 180'-6", which was the best among collegiate competitors.
Vinskovich cleared a season-best height of 6'-10.75" to win his second men's high jump competition in a row.
Kent State returns to action this weekend at the Clark Wood Invitational in Louisville, Kentucky on April 26-273.
