Kent State Rolls to 84-66 Win Against Miami

KENT, Ohio – A strong second half handed Kent State (12-10, 6-4) a 84-66 victory over Miami (7-15, 1-8) on Wednesday night.

A three from Larissa Lurken to start the game would be the difference early on as the Flashes and RedHawks traded baskets back and forth to an 11-10 Kent State lead by the first quarter media break.

It must have been a good conversation at the timeout because the Golden Flashes then went on a 7-0 run that helped them take a 20-17 lead at the end of the first.

Miami scored on back-to-back possessions to tie the game momentarily at the beginning of the second quarter.
