KENT: Jaylin Walker has a short memory.
It’s certain the Kent State sophomore guard remembers his layup with 4.1 seconds to play in the Mid-American Conference tournament semifinals that lifted the Golden Flashes to a 68-66 victory over Ohio.
He remembers scoring 30 points in 70-65 victory over rival and top-seeded Akron a night later in the championship game that earned the Flashes an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
And he definitely will remember the Flashes’ trip to Sacramento for their first-round tournament game. The team boarded a plane early Wednesday morning and, for the first time in his life, Walker landed in California.
