Kent State men’s basketball: Injury-plagued Golden Flashes seek tough win at Central Michigan

KENT: Kent State coach Rob Senderoff could use some good news right about now.

Not only do his Golden Flashes (15-6, 6-2 Mid-American Conference) need to regain their balance after a 71-62 loss at Ohio last Friday, they’ll have to do it without redshirt senior guard Xavier Pollard and freshman guard Jaylin Walker.

Both players are suffering from foot injuries and will miss Tuesday’s game at Central Michigan. Walker is in a walking boot and will be evaluated Wednesday morning, and Pollard is out indefinitely with a fractured left foot.

The timetable for Pollard’s return is unclear, although the Record-Courier reported Monday he could miss the rest of the season.
