KENT: It was the Mid-American Conference version of helping a brother out while helping yourself.
Kent State rallied from a 13-point deficit in the second half and kept its postseason plans alive on Saturday with a hard-earned 70-67 victory over visiting Ohio in front of 4,183 fans in the M.A.C. Center.
The victory, the Golden Flashes’ fourth in a row and third over what one might consider the league heavyweights, lifted Kent State into a four-way tie for third place in the overall MAC standings with Ball State, Buffalo and Western Michigan. All are 9-7 with two games remaining.
