Kent: History does repeat itself.
For the second time this season, the Kent State men’s basketball team blew a second-half lead and watched as Western Michigan’s Thomas Wilder buried a game-tying shot to send the game to overtime.
And, for the second time this season, the Golden Flashes recovered to win it in overtime — this time by a score of 85-78 at the M.A.C. Center Tuesday night.
The game looked a whole lot like the teams’ matchup on Jan. 5, when KSU won 87-84. For the Flashes, it was the same result, and one they needed heading into a key game against rival and Mid-American Conference East Division-leading Akron.
