KENT: Just two weeks ago, Kent State looked as cohesive as a team could be while setting records in a win over a conference opponent.
But that cohesion has been missing as a promising start to conference play has turned into a three-game losing streak for the Golden Flashes, who host defending Mid-American Conference champion Buffalo, at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
The Flashes (9-8, 1-3) opened their MAC schedule with a 100-90 win over Ball State behind a conference-record 31-of-31 shooting at the free-throw line.
Since that game, however, Kent State has lost to Ohio (85-67), Northern Illinois (74-70 in overtime) and Western Michigan (92-88).
