Kent State men’s basketball: Golden Flashes looking for more ‘momentum,’ not revenge, against Bowling Green

KENT: To Kent State coach Rob Senderoff, Tuesday’s game against Bowling Green isn’t a grudge match.

It’s simply another Mid-American Conference game his team needs to win.

Considering the way the Falcons ended the Golden Flashes’ 2015-16 season, it would have been understandable if Senderoff felt otherwise. The Flashes entered the MAC Tournament with a 19-12 record and the fifth seed, which allowed them to host Bowling Green to start the postseason. The Falcons, who the Flashes had easily defeated six days prior, advanced with a 70-69 upset win.

Tuesday marks the first meeting between the two teams since that contest, but Senderoff said he doesn’t think his Flashes (13-10, 5-5 MAC) view it like a revenge game.
