KENT: Nearly two weeks ago, Kent State confidently entered a Mid-American Conference game against Miami and, despite some late turbulence, handled the RedHawks effectively.
The Golden Flashes were implementing the formula coach Rob Senderoff has devised for his team to be successful: Rebound, avoid turnovers and play sound defense. They had won two of their last three and, despite the RedHawks’ second-half rally, ended up leaving Oxford with a 66-62 win.
It was the third consecutive loss for the RedHawks, who had only won twice since the start of MAC play.
Now the tables are turned.
