Kent State men’s basketball: Golden Flashes gear up for second game against Eastern Michigan

Earlier this week, Kent State men’s basketball coach Rob Senderoff held a meeting with the team’s seniors as the Golden Flashes headed into a crucial stretch of the season.

The team had recently lost guard Jaylin Walker to a foot sprain and guard Xavier Pollard to foot surgery. Walker is still in a walking boot and could be out another 1-3 weeks. Pollard is likely done for the season save for a possible return in the Mid-American Conference Tournament.

KSU had also lost three straight games, and momentum was decidedly against them. So, prior to Tuesday night game with Northern Illinois, Senderoff reminded seniors Khaliq Spicer and Chris Ortiz how much their production will be needed down the stretch.
