As if the Kent State men’s basketball team needed another banged-up guard on the roster, Deon Edwin is playing through a knee injury at the same time every player in the rotation has been asked to step up.
Edwin has been playing with a torn meniscus in his left knee for a couple of weeks, according to coach Golden Flashes Rob Senderoff. Edwin will continue to play out the season and have surgery to repair the meniscus after the Mid-American Conference tournament.
This isn’t welcomed news to the Flashes, who already lost guards Jaylin Walker (foot sprain) and Xavier Pollard (foot surgery).
