KENT: His team hasn’t been successful at home, and Kent State coach Rob Senderoff admitted it Tuesday.
Although the Flashes are 7-5 at home, five of those wins came in nonconference games before the start of 2017. They’ve lost two consecutive home contests, both in overtime, including an 84-84 heartbreaker on Tuesday to Bowling Green, which won on a tip-in with less than two seconds to play.
Senderoff said after that game he could diagnose why his team has struggled at the M.A.C. Center but didn’t elaborate. On Friday, as the team traveled to Toledo for a rematch against the Rockets, he said his team simply doesn’t create enough selfless plays at home.
