Tuscaloosa, Ala.: Alabama is the top-ranked team in the country, and it looked every bit the part against visiting Kent State on Saturday.
In a 48-0 drubbing, the Crimson Tide (4-0) compiled 502 yards of total offense and held the Golden Flashes to 166. They led 26-5 in first downs. Before the first quarter even expired, the Crimson Tide had a 21-0 lead.
“[I’m] disappointed in the performance,” Flashes coach Paul Haynes said. “I thought that we would actually play better.”
The Flashes (1-3) left Bryant-Denny Stadium without scoring a point and with an injured starting quarterback.
