Kent State football: Golden Flashes facing big challenge in 14th-ranked Western Michigan

KENT: In a season of challenges, Kent State is facing two of its most daunting this week.

On the heels of senior safety Nate Holley’s indefinite suspension from the team after being arrested on a felony kidnapping charge, the Golden Flashes will face No. 14 Western Michigan at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Dix Stadium.

The Broncos (9-0, 5-0 Mid-American Conference), under fourth-year coach P.J. Fleck, feature the nation’s 12th-ranked offense.

Senior quarterback Zach Terrell has passed for 23 touchdowns and thrown just one interception. His primary target, senior receiver Corey Davis, has caught 14 of those scores and surpassed 1,100 yards receiving.
