ATLANTA — For the third time in the past five years, the Kent State women's basketball program has earned a spot on the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Academic Top 25 Honor Roll, the organization announced on Tuesday.

The Golden Flashes posted an impressive 3.669 team grade point average for the 2024-25 academic year, which ranked 19th among NCAA Division I programs.

The team continued to raise the bar for academic excellence with a record 3.833 GPA during the spring term. Individually, six student-athletes earned Academic All-MAC honors.

The WBCA Academic Top 25 recognizes college women's basketball teams across the nation in their respective divisions that carry the highest combined GPAs inclusive of all student-athletes on their rosters for the entire season.
